Final Arkansas Points for 2017

The Plumerville Super Speedway wrapped up the 2017 racing season in the state of Arkansas with its "Turkey Strut" event Saturday night and following are the final point standings for the state using the same 5-point scale that the All Iowa Points uses. The points are only as good as the results that I can obtain though and there are a few tracks that are a bit inconsistent when it comes to reporting results and some, including Plumerville, only give the top three. Still I enjoy compiling the points and I hope to get to a track or two in Arkansas in 2018 to put some cars with these names.

In the Late Models Henry Gustavus is the champion racing weekly at Riverside Speedway while also popping up in the results at Old No. 1 Speedway and Crowley's Ridge from time to time. Gustavus had just three feature wins in 2018, but his twenty reported top five finishes were four more than any other Late Model driver.

Drew Armstrong dominated the Modified division standings as the I-30 Speedway regular posted eight feature wins in his twenty-seven top five finishes on the season.  Southeast Missouri based driver Paul Reeder finished in a distant second with six feature wins to his credit.

North central Arkansas resident Jason Snodgrass is the best of the Limited Modified roster as picked up just one win, but had sixteen top five finishes, two more than runner-up Caden Ellis.

And in the Winged Sprint division that combines the 305's, 360's and 410's it was Eddie Gallagher leading the way with nine feature wins and six second place finishes on the season primarily in the 305 class at Riverside.

The one state remaining is Missouri where the Gateway Nationals in the Dome will close out 2017 and shortly after the Missouri Points are tallied up we will follow up with "The Best of the Midwest" that combines all thirteen states that are tracked.
