While he came up just short in his bid for the IMCA National Points title in 2023, Brayton Carter's additional success at non-sanctioned tracks boosted him to his second "Best of the Midwest" title for the Limited Modifieds. His first came in 2020 and both of these came after "Speedy Bray's" two All Iowa Points championships.

This was a close battle as well with now six-time Missouri Points champion Kris Jackson finishing just three points back in second. Third goes to the driver that has earned this title each of the past two seasons, Matthew Looft who also was able to edge out Carter for the 2023 IMCA National championship for the Northern Sport Mods. Last year's runner-up Shadren Turner is fourth while the Minnesota champion Zach Benson ranks fifth.
