So much for a shortened season as with a runner-up finish at the Turkey Dash in Columbus Junction on November 7th Oskaloosa's Brayton Carter eclipsed the 200 point mark taking his first All Iowa Points title in the Limited Modified division. Often the division with the highest car count at any points paying track the class that includes the USRA B-Mods and the IMCA Northern Sport Mods was also the most competitive through mid-August with at least six drivers still in contention until Carter pulled away over the final months.

That second place finish at CJ was his 50th top-five finish of the season and "Speedy Bray" would visit victory lane twenty-three times as he joins his cousin Carter VanDenberg (2013) on the list of champions for this division. Carter had finished ninth in these standings in 2018 and last year was just six points back of two-time champion Tyler Soppe in the final standings. With his impressive point total look for Brayton to be at or near the top of the list in our annual "Best of the Midwest" standings coming in December.
The 2018 champion Cody Thompson is the 2020 runner-up as the Sioux City speedster scored eighteen wins in his thirty-four top five feature finishes this season while another northwest Iowa racer Doug Smith ranks third winning nineteen times in thirty-four top fives.

Webster City's Ty Griffith was an early leader in the division before locking down the fourth spot winning seventeen times in thirty-two top five showings. It is a big move up the list for Griffith as he finished 44th and 26th the past two seasons and Minnesota's Jared Boumeester completes the top five taking sixteen wins in thirty-four top fives on All Iowa Points paying tracks. He was also fifth in 2018 and ranked sixth last season.
The Newcomer of the Year for the Limited Modifieds is Corey Madden who stepped up from the Hobby Stocks in 2020 and finished in a tie for 52nd with two feature wins.
