After being in the hunt and then dropping from contention over the final months last year, Sioux Falls, South Dakota driver Dustin Gulbrandson did not let that happen again in 2020 as he built up a big early lead and then coasted to his first All Iowa Points Hobby Stock championship. Winning most of his twenty-five races after starting from either the fifth or sixth row, Gulbrandson's forty-five top five finishes makes him the first driver with an out of state address to win an All Iowa Points title in this division.

The 2016 champion Cody Neilsen had another strong showing taking the runner-up honors for 2020. Neilsen went to victory lane seventeen times in his forty top five finishes while young Kaden Reynolds finished in the third spot. In just his second full season in the class Reynolds rolled to twenty-one feature wins in thirty three top five finishes and improved upon his fifth place showing in 2019.
Defending All Iowa Points champion Eric Stanton was Gulbrandson's primary challenger through the first half of the season before landing in the fourth spot. The long time Hobby Stock contender from Carlisle visited victory lane nineteen time in 2020 and earned points in thirty feature races. Luke Ramsey out of Bedford completes the top five as his two wins in his first ever visit to Oskaloosa at the end of the season gave him a total of seventeen in his twenty-six top five showings. Ramsey was sixth in 2018 and tenth last year.
The Newcomer of the Year for the Hobby Stocks is Dubuque's David Crimmins who was a three time feature winner and tied for seventeenth in the final standings.
