Final South Dakota Points for 2018

After topping the list of The Best of the Midwest in 2017 for the Late Models, Aberdeen's Chad Becker did not rack up as many points as last year, but it was still enough to win the South Dakota Points in dominating fashion. Ten feature wins in thirty-two top five finishes gave Becker a 39 point edge over runner-up Josh Scorczewski with fellow Aberdeen drivers Kent Arment and Curt Gelling right behind.

Alex Guthmiller was fourth on the list last year, but he climbs to the top in 2018 to take the Modified title with eight feature wins and twenty-four top fives. Last year's top two, Tyler McDonald and Kent Arment are next in line.

Lorin Johnson made it three in a row as the champion of the Limited Modified class. The veteran driver from Miller notched nine wins in twenty-three top fives in 2018. Sioux City, Iowa, drivers Cody Thompson and Rusty Montagne rank second and third with their efforts at Park Jefferson and Raceway Park, two tracks that also count toward the All Iowa Points where Thompson is poised to become a first time champion.

Nebraska's Jason Martin leads the list of Winged Sprint Car drivers in 2018 with South Dakota success in both the 305's and the 360's.  Martin won four times in his eight top five finishes edging out Flandreau's Elliott Amdahl.

The South Dakota Points are tabulated using the same 5-point scale as the All Iowa Points.
