Tuesday Notebook: June 14, 2016

Watching the radar and hoping that these popcorn storms miss the West Liberty Raceway as the Deery Brother Summer Series for IMCA Late Models and the Hawkeye Dirt Tour for IMCA Modifieds will be in action tonight. At 4:10 p.m. things are still looking pretty good, but you just never know with this heat and humidity. Just think, this is what every race night is like down in the southeast during the summer!

A pretty good second option (for me at least) going on at the Iowa State Fair Speedway in Des Moines where the USMTS Modifieds will headline along with a whopping $1,000-to-win show for the Hobby Stocks.

Hopefully both shows will get in tonight and don't let the forecast scare you off. Check the radar and make your decision yourself rather than listening to what someone else is telling you.
