In this the ninth straight years that we have tracked the Nebraska Points using the same 5-point scale that is used for the All Iowa Points we have four drivers either stay, or return to the top of their respective divisions while in the Limited Modifieds we add a ninth name to the list of champions.
Let's start with that new Nebraska Points champion in the Limited Modifieds as Tyler Nerud continues the streak of new champs after winning ten times in twenty-one top five finishes. Tyler has been in the top ten in past standings, but his 2024 title comes after just a twenty point effort last season that placed him in a tie for 26th on this list. The 2022 champion Matthew Andrews holds down second after winning six times in twenty-one point paying efforts while the 2021 champion Robbie Thome repeats his third place finish from last year with seven wins in sixteen top fives.
Cory Dumpert continues his reign in the Late Models scoring his sixth straight and seventh overall Nebraska Points title with eleven wins in twenty-five top five finishes. Dumpert was also the Kansas Points champion in 2018. The 2023 Modified state champion Anthony Roth made the move to the Late Models this year and had a phenomenal rookie season in the division winning nine times in nineteen top fives to rank second behind Dumpert. Dylan Schmer was a distant third after winning four times in thirteen top fives.
For the seventh time in nine years Jordan Grabouski had the best season in the Modified division in Nebraska, this time winning thirteen times in eighteen top fives. Grabouski also posted a fourth place finish in this year's Stock Car standings. The 2019 Limited Modified champ, Shawn Harker is the runner-up picking up two feature wins in his eighteen top fives, while Bob Zoubek rises up to third with four wins in thirteen top fives. Last year Harker ranked fifth while Zoubek was tied for fourteenth.
Posting fifteen top five finishes, three of them being feature wins on Nebraska tracks, Stu Snyder takes his second Sprint Car state title with his first coming in 2022. Mitchell Dvorak is the runner-up winning four times in seven top fives while two drivers, Danial Frickel and Joey Danley, end up in a tie for third. Frickal had three wins in seven top fives while Danley, the 2021 Nebraska Points champion, had two wins in eight top fives.
Cameron Wilkinson returns to the top of the Stock Car list as he was the Nebraska Points champion in 2022 and finished third in 2023. With his ten wins in twenty-four top five finishes, Cameron easily outdistanced runner-up Jeff Ware who posted eight wins in twenty-one top fives. Kyle Vanover holds down the third position after winning eight times in nineteen top five showings.
