Once things got underway it was a busy 2020 racing season in the state of Indiana with strong car counts at nearly every track and this is the fifth year that we have tracked the state points using the standardized 5-point scale for all feature events.
Let's start with the Modifieds where Derek Losh was dominant winning eighteen feature races in twenty-five top five finishes. Losh had been a close second to Jamie Lomax each of the past two years before breaking through to his first Indiana state title in 2020. Derek Groomer finishes twenty-seven points back from the champ after winning eight times in twenty-one top fives. Groomer was also a runner-up to Lomax in 2016 and finished third in 2108, Jordan Wever takes the final podium position for the second year in a row winning seven times in twenty top five finishes. The three-time champion Lomax dropped to seventh this year.

With so few Super Late Model events this season we have combined them with the Crates and that means that Shelby Miles is a repeat champion. Racing in both division primarily at Brownstown, Miles was a five-time feature winner in fourteen top five finishes. Torin Mettille is the runner-up taking five wins in seven top fives. Mettille was also on the podium for the Crate division in his home state of Illinois this season. Tyler Neal holds down the third sport with one win in nine top fives.
The Racesaver 305's are the prevalent division for the Winged Sprints in the state of Indiana although the Outlaws show up at a few events as well as the regional 360 series from time to time, and taking the win this year is Ethan Barrow. Also the state champion of the Winged cars in 2018, Barrow was a three-time feature winner in five top five finish on Indiana tracks. Bradley Sterrett ranks second with two wins and six top fives while Donny Schatz and John Paynter Jr. tied for third.
