Final Midwest Pavement Late Model Points for 2019

With his win in the first rain delayed, and finally rain shortened National Short Track Championship at the Rockford Speedway last Saturday, Casey Johnson closed out another banner season on the pavement tracks here in the upper Midwest. The NSTC victory would be his ninth in a Super Late Model this season and with twenty-two top five finishes he would easily tally the most points in our system that uses the same 5-point scale that we do with the All Iowa Points. The ARCA Midwest Tour champion for the first time in 2019, this would be Johnson's second straight year on the top of these standings. Grundy County Speedway regular Eddie Hoffman ranks second this season with eight wins to his credit and Jeff Weinfurter is third after posting seven wins in his seventeen top five finishes.

For the third straight year Minnesota driver Jacob Goede is on top of our final Late Model point standings scoring thirteen feature wins among his thirty-four top five finishes. These stats were also good enough to earn Goede the 2019 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series National Championship, the first driver from Minnesota to achieve that honer. Going second in our standings is Nick Panitzke who visited victory lane nine times in twenty-three top fives and finishing third was Jacob Nottestad who was also a nine time winner in just fourteen top five finishes.
